M/V Ari Queen Pictures and Layout

M/V Ari Queen

Ari Queen was launched in early 2009. This attractive, spacious boat comfortably accommodates up to 20 divers in 10 air-conditioned, en-suite cabins with hot water showers.

6 lower deck cabins feature a small double and single bunk bed over,
2 double-bedded cabins on the main deck with windows and
2 further upper-deck cabins can be adapted from twin to double, also with windows.
Each cabin has individually controlled A/C, warm water showers, wardrobe and storage.

On the deck, there is ample sun protection or space for sun lovers, a good-sized dive deck and cool freshwater shower and deck level toilet.
A dining lounge with comfortable seating, TV and bar, make this a boat a great choice.

Operating out of Male, Mv Ari Queen covers the best dive sites of the central Maldivian Atolls, including Ari Atoll, while following a flexible itinerary that takes account of local diving conditions.

During the seven night itinerary, Ari Queen visits several hotspots for seasonal marine life. The dive staff have an excellent record of bringing both divers and snorkelers into contact with white tip sharks, grey sharks, manta rays, turtles, whale sharks and occasionally hammerheads.

Ari Queen operates out of Male Saturday to Saturday. One week trip, Ari queen is visiting dive sites around a number of the central Maldivian atolls (North Male’, North Ari, South Ari and South Male’ atoll or South Ari Felidhoo and South Male’ Atoll)

Typically, there will be 1 dive on the first day of a week's operation, then 3 dives per day (incl. night dives when applicable) and 1 to 2 dives on the final day, personal no-fly times permitting.

Ari Queen also offers special 14 days itineraries; please check cruising area if you would like to organize 14 days trip.

Ari Queen follows certain routes which turned out to be the best. These routes however are not completely fixed, iIt depends on weather and currents at the time of cruise.

Currents control the choice of the divesites. At certain currents one spot can be dived perfectly at other currents it is a waste of time.

Sharks, Whalesharks, Mantas are encountered at a certain current at specific divesites only. Knowing the specific points and the right time makes a great dive. We Know Both in Perfection.

The Typical Cruise

The boat anchors at Hulumale Lagoon, which is basically an extention of the airport-reef.

Arrival Day: 1 dive to familiarize.

Next Day: Early morning another dive in the region such as Bananna Reef or Airport outside.

In summer season you are likely to see your first mantas at the manta-point nearby.

Next to Guraidhoo area in South Male' Atoll with two excellend divesites.

Same or the Next day cruise to Ari Atoll to dive the best spots for a one week cruise. During the cruise we round the whole atoll. Depending on the weather and season, preferences are given for the west or east side of the atoll as one side of the atoll is always protected.

The boat will be back to Hulumale Lagoon, late afternoon on the 6th day as no diving 24 hours before the departure flight.
